Why subscribe?

Because every second Wednesday evening, I’ll send you ideas and recipes for what to cook this weekend.

This email will feature a menu, recipes, shopping list, prep and timing ideas and sometimes videos, playlists and more inspo for carving out a special afternoon, evening or morning this weekend.

Sometimes, it’ll be a full three-course menu, sometimes a collection of things to take on a picnic, sometimes recipes and tips for putting together a very good ‘chatter platter’, and sometimes, in summer, a guide to having a Sunday afternoon jam session (with recipes, of course). It will depend on the season and what we feel like doing.

The Wednesday’s in between will be a round up of extra recipes, tricks and hacks that make entertaining easy and fun for all of us.

The subscription cost means I can dedicate a day a week to creating this content and when you think about it, it’s the cost of a coffee (these days), but if you can’t swing that please message me and I’ll sign you up manually.

My name is Sophie Hansen, I’m a food writer based in Orange. I’m the author of five cookbooks, and my latest What Can I Bring came out in March 2024.
